On Sunday, March 31st and Monday April 1st our team attended the Fashion Focus hair show in Washington D.C. Learning about new products, trends, and ways to enhance our jobs as beauty professionals and make your experience even better as our clients. They are excited to share this new knowledge with their clients.

BHS Team has a Wella Color Trends Workshop

On Monday, February 18th our team of beauty professionals had a workshop with Wella Professional Hair Colorists. In the workshop our team learned about new trends in hair color. They also had extensive training on Wella’s new balayage system of products and treatments to help maintain your color.

This weekend our Esthetician Lauren, and Balance Hair Spa owners Biff & Thomas attended the International Congress of Esthetics and Spa show at the Philadelphia convention center. They were able to view all the latest trends in skin care and make up along with spa therapies, and attend workshops in the art of waxing, skin care, and make up trends. While there they tried out many new treatments and tools to see what we need for the future in our spa. We can't wait to share with you new things to come.

On Monday, April 16th International Wella Color Expert Alexandra Matiz visited Balance Hair Spa and spent 6 hours with our team of beauty professionals going over all the latest color techniques, trends, and trouble shooting related to Wella Professional hair color. Alexandra's work can be found in the pages of Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Glamour, Teen Vogue, Modern Salon and many other publications worldwide. She has done hair for a long list of celebrity clients including Cindy Crawford, Penelope Cruz, and many more. Biff & Thomas attend Unbuttoned Tour and Jam Session / Washington D.C.

On November 12th & 13th, Balance Hair Spa Owners, Thomas & Biff, attended the Aveda Un-Buttoned Tour. This two day motivational event was held outside of Washington D.C. Thomas & Biff were able to hear from some of the industries leaders both locally and internationally speak about their success and motivation. They also attended the Aveda Jam session the night of the 12th at the Filmore Theater. There they saw some of the Aveda talent showing off their latest trends and inspirations.

Yesterday our team of beauty professionals were treated to a cutting class by industry leader Josh DeMarco. Josh has won many awards and accolades including being voted best mens hairstylist by Philadelphia Magazine.

On Sunday March 5th and Monday March 6th, our team of beauty professionals attended the Mid-Atlantic Fashion Focus Hair Show in Washington D.C. at the National Harbor. This show is one of the largest shows on the East Coast. We spent our days attending workshops and classrooms with the leading hair stylists, motivational speakers, and product educators. Our team soaked up a ton of knowledge and motivation and are excited to share it with you. We even picked up some new products, that you will see in the salons in the next few days and weeks.

Top Wella Color Artist Mark Debolt visits Balance Hair Spa

On Monday January 30th the Balance Hair Spa team of beauty professionals welcomed famed color expert and top Wella colorist Mark Debolt to our salon for a hands on class. He spent an entire day going over all the latest trends in hair color and techniques for color corrections. Our team were able to work with Mark and discuss advanced color concerns and formulas.

Balance Hair Spa Team train with Ardell lashes

On Monday July 25th the Balance Hair Spa team were trained on how to use Ardell lashes. Ardell is one of the most widely recognized names in faux lashes by catering not just to women looking to enhance their own beauty, but also to legions of beauty professionals and Hollywood makeup artists. Our team of beauty professionals learned how to pick out a shape and trim lashes for every face and eye shape. They also trained on semi-permanent lash extensions which can last up to two weeks or longer.

On Monday July 18th the Balance Hair Spa team of beauty professionals were trained on the Peter Coppola keratin smoothing treatment. what makes this treatment different than others is that it doesn't contains harsh chemicals like aldehydes as preservatives.      Geno is one of only 21 other individuals to be inducted into the North American Hairstyling Awards Hall of Leaders. His positive energy and outlook on life is infectious. Darlene & Jen become Master Color Experts

We are excited to announce that two of our hair designers are now Master Color Experts.

JEN & DARLENE ACCEPTING THEIR AWARD AND CERTIFICATION AT THE WELLA WORLD STUDIO NYC OCTOBER 8TH 2015

   Jen Sanchez and Darlene Firlein have completed a years worth of programs and education at the Wella World Studio in New York City. This is an extremely elite program that only a few hundred stylists worldwide have been able to complete. Even before entering this program stylist must first complete 5 years of courses that range from color formulation, color application, color foiling, color correction, and creative color. The Master Color Expert program requires stylists to explore psychology, hair diagnosis, chemistry, physics, and presentation skills. This is a highly prestigious achievement. Our team is thrilled to have such talented hair designers working with us. Jen & Darlene plan on sharing this knowledge with our team and in turn helping our clients have the best team of hair color experts around.

On Monday September 21st our designers Hope & Wendy attended the All Stars Hair Show in King Of Prussia. They attended a day filled with seminars and workshops featuring some of the industry leaders in the art of hair cutting styling and coloring.
