Balance Hair Spa team gets a class on Fall Colors with Wella

On Monday September 24th our team of beauty professionals were treated to a fall trends class. The class was taught by Wella Professional hair colour expert Giana Libertore. Our team got to see new color trends, techniques, and styles that are on trend for Fall and Winter 2018. Ask your stylist about what new trends might fit you and your hair style.

Cut-a-thon was a success

On Saturday September 8th the Balance Hair Spa team hosted a cut-a-thon at our Studio in West Chester. From 5pm to 8pm, we were able to raise more than one thousand dollars for Friends Association for the Care and Protection of Children in Chester County PA. We thank everyone who helped out and who made donations. We really appreciate the support.

This weekend our Esthetician Lauren, and Balance Hair Spa owners Biff & Thomas attended the International Congress of Esthetics and Spa show at the Philadelphia convention center. They were able to view all the latest trends in skin care and make up along with spa therapies, and attend workshops in the art of waxing, skin care, and make up trends. While there they tried out many new treatments and tools to see what we need for the future in our spa. We can't wait to share with you new things to come.

Balance Hair Spa was a proud sponsor again this year of the Unite For HER annual fundraiser, Bloom. Held at the Merion Gulf Club this last Sunday, April 22nd. Our team of beauty professionals were honored to donate their time and style the cancer survivors and those who stood by HER side through breast cancer. These women then were pampered in a fashion show all for raising money for charity. This was our 3rd year as a sponsor for Unite For HER.

On Monday, April 16th International Wella Color Expert Alexandra Matiz visited Balance Hair Spa and spent 6 hours with our team of beauty professionals going over all the latest color techniques, trends, and trouble shooting related to Wella Professional hair color. Alexandra's work can be found in the pages of Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Glamour, Teen Vogue, Modern Salon and many other publications worldwide. She has done hair for a long list of celebrity clients including Cindy Crawford, Penelope Cruz, and many more. Ask your stylist to share with your about this amazing experience during your next visit with us.

On Wednesday March 28th the manufacture of our Balance Hair Spa line of products flew out Balance owners Thomas, Biff, and their son Caleb to Los Angeles to see their factory. While there they were given a tour of the factory and sat down with their reps to plan out next few product launches. They were really impressed with the quality of the products and how they are produced using the best ingredients available.

Our Style-a-thon was a huge success

On Friday March 16th our team of beauty professionals hosted a style-a-thon to help raise money for a local business owner who has come down with a rare stomach disease called Gastroparesis. Along with our online GoFundMe page we were able to raise more than $3,800. to help pay for her medical bills. We thank all the local businesses and everyone who gave their time and money for a good cause.

On Monday, March 5th our entire team were treated to a product knowledge class by the manufacture of our own Balance Hair Spa line of products. The class was presented to us by Geno Levi, who showcased his knowledge of our products while sharing with our stylists three of his distinct hair cutting techniques.
It was nice to have a visit by our own manufacture and Geno Levi. They were able to see our salon, meet our staff, and have a better understanding of our brand as we continue to grow.

On Sunday March 4th Balance Hair Spa Assistants Alyssa and Maddie attended the International Beauty Show in New York. IBS is one of the largest beauty shows in the country. Next time your're in the salon ask them to share their experience with you.  

Holly Prowant teaches cutting class at Balance Hair Spa

Our team of beauty professionals are always eager to share knowledge with each other. On Sunday February 25th our team sat down for a long layer hair cutting class with our very own Holly Prowant. Holly is a highly trained Paul Mitchell Cutting Specialist who has been a teacher in the beauty industry for many years. Many of her own pupils are now employed here at Balance Hair Spa. 
Many of the techniques Holly taught our team are excellent for those who have fine hair, want length, and also maintain some volume with their hairstyle.
