Balance Hair Spa team attend Mid-Atlantic Fashion Focus hairshow in D.C.
/On Sunday March 5th and Monday March 6th, our team of beauty professionals attended the Mid-Atlantic Fashion Focus Hair Show in Washington D.C. at the National Harbor. This show is one of the largest shows on the East Coast. We spent our days attending workshops and classrooms with the leading hair stylists, motivational speakers, and product educators. Our team soaked up a ton of knowledge and motivation and are excited to share it with you. We even picked up some new products, that you will see in the salons in the next few days and weeks.
Top Wella Color Artist Mark Debolt visits Balance Hair Spa
/On Monday January 30th the Balance Hair Spa team of beauty professionals welcomed famed color expert and top Wella colorist Mark Debolt to our salon for a hands on class. He spent an entire day going over all the latest trends in hair color and techniques for color corrections. Our team were able to work with Mark and discuss advanced color concerns and formulas.

Balance Hair Spa Team train with Ardell lashes
/On Monday July 25th the Balance Hair Spa team were trained on how to use Ardell lashes. Ardell is one of the most widely recognized names in faux lashes by catering not just to women looking to enhance their own beauty, but also to legions of beauty professionals and Hollywood makeup artists. Our team of beauty professionals learned how to pick out a shape and trim lashes for every face and eye shape. They also trained on semi-permanent lash extensions which can last up to two weeks or longer.

/On Monday July 18th the Balance Hair Spa team of beauty professionals were trained on the Peter Coppola keratin smoothing treatment. what makes this treatment different than others is that it doesn't contains harsh chemicals like aldehydes as preservatives. Owner's Biff & Thomas have followed many of Geno's philosophies since opening Balance Hair Spa and have always admired him and his way of educating salon professionals. We are happy to announce that our Stylist Jen Sanchez has become a Wella Educator. This means that she will now represent Wella Professional color and teach stylist around our region the techniques and formulas it takes to accomplish hair color brilliance. Jen has worked very hard to accomplish this goal. She became a Master Color Expert last year and immediately began work on her presentation for Wella Educator. She auditioned earlier this year and was accepted as a Wella Educator within days of her audition. She will continue to offer the best color services to her clients and also offer the experience of a Master Color Expert. Jen Sanchez and Darlene Firlein have completed a years worth of programs and education at the Wella World Studio in New York City. This is an extremely elite program that only a few hundred stylists worldwide have been able to complete. Even before entering this program stylist must first complete 5 years of courses that range from color formulation, color application, color foiling, color correction, and creative color. The Master Color Expert program requires stylists to explore psychology, hair diagnosis, chemistry, physics, and presentation skills. This is a highly prestigious achievement. Our team is thrilled to have such talented hair designers working with us. Jen & Darlene plan on sharing this knowledge with our team and in turn helping our clients have the best team of hair color experts around.
