Exton, Pennsylvania – The Mommy’s Light Race for Traditions Benefiting Bereaved Children 6th Annual 5K & 1 Mile Race, sponsored by Kensey Nash Corporation, IMS, Smart Park and Aramark, was held Saturday, April 24, at the Eagleview Corporate Center in Exton, PA.

Attended by close to 1,000 people, the event raised more than $70,000 for Mommy’s Light Lives On Fund®, which brings joy and comfort to children and teens whose mothers are terminally ill or have died by helping them keep alive traditions and simple pleasures they shared with their mothers.

Two of the top finishers, Jeff Devlin (3rd place overall/3rd place Male) and Maddie Morgenthaler (3rd place Female), both of Downingtown, donated their prize money back to Mommy’s Light.  Maddie made her gift in memory of her mother Carolanne Morgenthaler, who died five years ago.

The top three 5K overall finishers were: 1st place/$100 - Darryl Brown, Exton; 2nd place/$50 – Shawn Cavanaugh, Havertown; 3rd place/$50 – Jeff Devlin, Downingtown.
